The Roofing Warranty Certificate form is an essential document for homeowners who have recently installed a new roof through MCS Roofing. This form outlines the key benefits and terms of the warranty, ensuring that the homeowner is fully informed about the coverage provided. One of the standout features is the lifetime craftsmanship coverage, which guarantees that the roof will be free from leaks due to substandard installation for up to 50 years from the warranty issue date. Additionally, the warranty is transferable, allowing future homeowners to benefit from the coverage as long as the transfer is documented in writing. However, certain conditions must be met for the warranty to remain valid. For instance, the warranty takes effect only after the completion of the roof installation and full payment for materials and labor. Homeowners must also promptly report any issues to MCS Roofing, as delays could void the warranty. Regular maintenance is another critical aspect; the roof must be cleaned every two years by MCS Roofing to ensure continued coverage. Exclusions apply, particularly for damages resulting from natural disasters or structural issues unrelated to the installation. By understanding the specifics of the Roofing Warranty Certificate, homeowners can make informed decisions and protect their investment effectively.

The Roofing Warranty Certificate is a document provided by MCS Roofing that guarantees the quality of your roof installation. It outlines the coverage details, including craftsmanship and the terms of the warranty, ensuring that homeowners have peace of mind regarding their roofing investment.

What does the lifetime craftsmanship coverage entail?

This warranty promises that the roof installed by MCS Roofing will be free from leaks caused by substandard installation for the life of the roof, which is typically considered to be a 50-year period from the warranty issue date. This means you can trust that your roof will perform as expected, provided the installation was done correctly.

Can the warranty be transferred to a new homeowner?

Yes, the warranty is 100% transferable. However, the new homeowner must request the transfer in writing, and it must be signed by the original homeowner. This feature adds value to your property, as future owners will benefit from the same coverage.

When does the warranty take effect?

The warranty takes effect only after the roof installation is completed and all material and labor costs have been paid in full. This ensures that both parties have fulfilled their obligations before the warranty becomes active.

Are there any exclusions to the warranty coverage?

Yes, there are several exclusions. The warranty does not cover damages caused by natural disasters, structural movement, or alterations made to the roof. Additionally, if the roof is tampered with or if there are defects in the materials used, these issues are not covered under the warranty.

What should I do if I notice a problem with my roof?

If you encounter any issues, it’s crucial to notify MCS Roofing promptly. If the problem is due to workmanship, MCS Roofing will address it at no charge. However, if the issue arises from other causes, reasonable repair charges will apply, and these must be paid upon completion to keep the warranty valid.

What happens if I don’t report a problem with the roof in time?

Failure to promptly report any problems will void the warranty. Timely communication is essential to ensure that any workmanship-related issues can be addressed without incurring additional costs.
